![]() Happy New Year from everyone at Active Solutions! We hope you all had wonderful and restful holiday season! But for those of you (like many others) who seemed to be more rushed than relaxed, the season can often leave us feeling drained. According to a survey conducted by Think Finance, forty-five percent of Americans would rather skip the Christmas season (www.nbcnews.com). This fact provides insight into how we cope with holiday stress. For more information . . . ![]() The holiday season is such an exciting, yet busy, time of the year. In the midst of taking care of all the hustle and bustle, to-do lists, gift-wrapping, and food preparation, it can be easy to forget about taking care of yourself. Many of us overlook our personal health and well being during this season in order to focus more of our attention on other people or tasks. This is how I began most mornings - in pain. I've been to many specialists - including neurologists and endocrinologists - but none have given me any relief or answers. They said my symptoms don’t fall under any diagnosis, but that I have characteristics of a disease that causes tremors, extreme muscle stiffness, and can eventually cause paralysis of my lower body. While still in bed, I recalled a conversation with a friend who suggested I try physical therapy to manage my symptoms. I’d always been hesitant to believe PT would actually work, but I knew I didn’t want to live my life in such pain and stiffness anymore and decided to give it a try. That day, I scheduled an appointment with Nadine at Active Solutions Physical Therapy and hoped that the treatments I received would help me feel and move better. ![]() We're thrilled to be in our beautiful new office at 1926 Via Centre, Suite B, Vista. I am grateful to Bob Cowan at DTZ for negotiating the deal with experience and finesse so that I could continue my own work while entrusting the process to him. I'd also like to thank Brent, Dominic, Jake and all the guys at McFarland Construction for building such a gorgeous space and making it exactly the way I wanted it. And finally, a thanks to Patricia King at Bank of America and Jeff Glover at Southland EDC for making the numbers all work. |
