![]() I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock and braced myself for the pain I would be feeling soon. This is how I began most mornings - in pain. I've been to many specialists - including neurologists and endocrinologists - but none have given me any relief or answers. They said my symptoms don’t fall under any diagnosis, but that I have characteristics of a disease that causes tremors, extreme muscle stiffness, and can eventually cause paralysis of my lower body. While still in bed, I recalled a conversation with a friend who suggested I try physical therapy to manage my symptoms. I’d always been hesitant to believe PT would actually work, but I knew I didn’t want to live my life in such pain and stiffness anymore and decided to give it a try. That day, I scheduled an appointment with Nadine at Active Solutions Physical Therapy and hoped that the treatments I received would help me feel and move better.
